How It’s Been Feeling
Lately I’ve been more tired than usual. At first, I put it down to juggling too much. Gym, dogs, family, and the daily grind. But it wasn’t just tiredness. I’ve felt restless, overly sensitive, and far more emotional than normal.
Sleep hasn’t been kind either. When I do drift off, the dreams are vivid, almost too vivid. On top of that, I’ve had this strong urge to declutter. Drawers, cupboards, anywhere I can clear space. I have also been feeling a bit anxious too, but from things that I thought I’d buried a long time ago.
I didn’t think much of it until I stumbled across a clip on social media explaining exactly what might be happening. If you’ve been feeling the same in the last few days, there’s a reason. You’re simply in tune with Mother Nature and the Blood Moon. Your body picked up on the shift before your brain did. And that in itself is extraordinary.
What The Blood Moon Actually Is
A Blood Moon happens during a total lunar eclipse. The Earth moves between the sun and the moon, casting a shadow that makes the moon turn a deep red. It’s rare, dramatic, and powerful.
The next one arrives on September 7th. It’s a long eclipse, lasting over an hour, and sits in the sign of Pisces—which is all about emotion, intuition, and release. The best part? It will be fully visible from the UK, so we’ll have a front row seat.
The Meaning In Plain English
Spiritually, the Blood Moon is all about transformation and release. Think of it as a reset button for your emotions and energy. It can stir up restlessness, heighten intuition, and push you to let go of what’s weighing you down.

For me, as a Gemini, this Pisces energy feels like a tug of war between head and heart. My brain wants logic and order, but this Blood Moon is pushing me into deeper waters, forcing me to slow down and listen to what I’m really feeling.
The easiest way to picture it? It’s like decluttering your home and your head at the same time. Clearing out the cupboards, but also clearing out old habits, thoughts, or emotions that don’t serve you anymore.
How You Might Feel It
Some people notice these shifts more than others, but if you’re already picking up the energy of this Blood Moon, you might recognise yourself here:
• Sudden waves of emotion you can’t quite explain
• Strange or vivid dreams that stick with you
• A strong pull to clear out your space, drawers, cupboards, wardrobes
• Feeling drained or wiped out even when you’re eating well, training, and doing “all the right things”
You’re not losing the plot—you’re simply more tuned in than you realise. (You’re not going crazy)
A Simple, Real-Life Ritual
This doesn’t need to be complicated or mystical. Think of it as a reset exercise anyone can do.
• Clear a space. Kitchen table, bedside, wherever feels right
• Light a candle to mark the moment
• Write down three things you want to release. Habits, thoughts, or feelings that are weighing you down
• Read them out loud, then either rip up the paper or burn it safely
• Sit for five quiet minutes and notice what comes up
• After the eclipse has passed, write down what you want to bring in for the next cycle. It could be strength, balance, patience, whatever fits
• Anchor it back in reality by doing something physical: a walk, stretch, or even watering your plants. It grounds the reset into your daily life.

Fit Around The Chaos
For me, this is exactly what Fit Around the Chaos is about. Life is busy and messy. Family, work, gym, everything pulling at once. We can’t control the chaos, but we can find balance within it.
The Blood Moon is like a forced pause button. It strips things back and reminds us to let go of the unnecessary weight, just like in training, just like in food, just like in life. It’s not about being perfect, it’s about working with cycles and knowing when to push forward and when to release.
On September 7th, I’ll be sitting under the Blood Moon (so to speak) with a candle, a journal, and probably a pile of ripped-up paper scraps. Nothing fancy, just me making space to reset.
If you’ve been feeling emotional, restless, or drained, take it as a sign that you’re already in tune. Maybe this Blood Moon is your reminder to let go of what no longer serves you, and step into the next season a little lighter.
